Antique Victorian Cruet Set. A beautiful 1800's silver plate cruet or condiment stand with 5 cranberry cut to clear crystal cruet containers. The pieces include an oil and vinegar with a crystal stopper, a salt and pepper, and one condiment jar that may be used for jam, jelly or mustard.
All of the crystal pieces are in beautiful condition with no chips, cracks or defects. The salt and pepper as well as the condiment piece appears to have replaced tops. The tops fit, but look to be a silver colored metal rather than silverplate.
The two oil and vinegar bottles have a clear cut crystal stopper. All of the pieces are in lovely condition.
The footed stand is dated around 1870 - 1880 due to the name on the bottom, Mermod Jaccard &Co.
The company was an well known company in the St. Louis area that manufactured high end jewelry and timeless pieces. In 1873 the company's name became Mermod, Jaccard & Co. In 1883 Goodman King joined the company and the name became Mermod, Jaccard, King.
